The first step to dental health can start with coming to see your dentist for a check up. In our calm and caring setting, there is nothing to fear in coming to see us, even if it is for the first time. During your check up, you will be informed and educated about your dental health status and any potential problems will be identified and options discussed.

Once the dentist has a good understanding of your dental hygiene habits and identified potential problems, they will proceed with a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums and jaw bone.
Following the examination, your dentist will gently start removing tartar deposits from your teeth, reaching into all the hard to reach places that normal brushing and flossing cannot. Your teeth are then polished for a refreshingly clean smile.
A fluoride treatment will be applied directly to the surfaces of each tooth to help protect them from the acids and bacteria in your mouth that cause decay. It is advised not to eat or drink for at least 30 minutes afterwards to allow your teeth time to absorb the fluoride and remineralise your enamel.
